Apostle Godspower Obamwonyi
Apostle Godspower Obamwonyi is the founder of Word of hope bible church, he was born to this world on the 7th of June 1976. He has been the main source of inspiration for the congregant and the community at large.
He grow up with the interest of the pulpit in his heart and a huge burden to serve the Lord`s purpose, the call of God was evident upon his life from childhood. At the age of 6, the young man has started to pray prevailing prayers, during altar calls in the church, people who knee or stood by him and around him, will do nothing but to listen to the way the Holy Ghost help him to pray, he received the baptism of the Holy Ghost at the age of 9.
By the special grace of God, Apostle Godspower Obamwonyi is gracefully married to Pastor Mrs Precious Obamwonyi and together they have four children, two boys (Joshua and Samuel-Praise) two girls (Gift and Favour). And together they are all serving in the Lord`s vineyard
Apostle Godspower Obamwonyi received the call of God to preach the gospel of Our Lord Jesus Christ in 1995, on his way to the secret court meeting at the university of Benin, Benin City Nigeria, he heard a loud voice outside his student quarter resident, the voice said “my son is this what I have called you to do, I have sent you to this world to preach my gospel and not to be an enemy to Him” immediately he turn his back and went back to his room and all his friends said why are you not going anymore he said I am call to do something else and not this.

Joining a church can mean many things to many people.
Some seek out God and spiritual fellowship when they feel they have lost their way, or are seeking a deeper purpose, or are looking for a way to connect to their family and cultural identity… but it is our belief that the Church, at its core, is about finding the agape love and divine beauty through personal interaction with God and God’s work.
Bringing God’s love and compassion into action through serving the life of the needy humanity is our prime focus.
We believe in the ultimate reality that Jesus Christ is the only way for the salvation of humanity and He alone can solve all our problems and issues.

OUR BELIEFS
THE BIBLE
The Bible is the inspired Word of God, infallible as originally given and authoritative for all matters of faith and conduct.

ONE GOD
God is one God revealed in three persons as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit who are equal in deity and dignity and He alone is to be worshipped.

JESUS CHRIST
Jesus Christ is the only Saviour of mankind by virtue of His death on the cross of Calvary and His resurrection from the dead.
(1 Corinthians 15:3-4, 1 Peter 3:18)
NEW BIRTH
All who accept the Lord Jesus Christ as Saviour are born again by the Holy Spirit and by water “immersion” baptism and thereby become children of God.
